PM Modi’s Inspiring Tribute: ‘Sadaiv Atal’ Honors Atal Bihari Vajpayee 2023

Atal Bihari Vajpayee:A prayer meeting is scheduled at the Sadaiv Atal near Vijay Ghat at 8:45 am to honor the leader who passed away in 2018.

The BJP is planning a number of events across the country on Monday to commemorate the birth anniversary of the late former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Party leaders will pay their respects by laying floral tributes at Vajpayee’s memorial.

December 25 is a significant day as it marks the birth anniversary of the distinguished former Prime Minister and well-known leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary by laying floral tributes at the “Sadaiv Atal” memorial.

“I extend my heartfelt homage to the esteemed late Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, on his birth anniversary. He dedicated his life to advancing the cause of nation-building,” PM Modi said earlier today on X.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s lasting legacy, saying that Vajpayee demonstrated during his time as prime minister how stable governments can be advantageous, and this tradition continues today, according to PTI.

Yogi Adityanath called Atal Bihari Vajpayee the “Ajat Shatru” of politics, highlighting his extraordinary ability to navigate both favorable and challenging situations. PM Modi also stated, “His dedication and service towards Mother India will remain a source of inspiration even in his immortal age.

This year, which commemorates the centennial of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth, is a wonderful coincidence. Born on December 25, 1924, there will be a number of programs throughout the year, culminating in a grand celebration on December 25, 2024,” the Chief Minister declared, presenting awards to several individuals on this occasion. Vajpayee, who was known for his eloquent speeches, was a prominent figure in Indian politics. He started out as a young legislator and was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1957. His political career peaked in 1996, when he successfully guided the BJP to its first win in general elections.

In his third term, Vajpayee oversaw a stable government that served out its entire term—a first for a non-Congress administration. Known for his remarkable speeches and well-regarded as a capable politician and statesman, Vajpayee rebounded from a brief 15-day premiership in 1996 to become the nation’s top leader two years later. He remained in that capacity until 2004.
