Good morning everyone, esteemed colleagues, respected Sir and Madam, and our honourable Principal. I am truly thankful for this wonderful opportunity to address you on the momentous occasion of our 75th Republic Day.
Today, we stand united to celebrate not just an event, but a significant milestone in the history of our beloved nation. As we exchange warm greetings, let us also join our hearts in a collective prayer for the progress and well-being of our great country. It is an annual tradition for us to come together on January 26 to mark Republic Day, a day that holds immense importance as it signifies the inception of the Indian Constitution.
Ever since that historic day in 1950 when the Indian Constitution came into effect, we have been observing Republic Day with pride and enthusiasm. India, a democratic nation, empowers its citizens with the right to choose their leaders, and Dr. Rajendra Prasad served as our first president.
Since gaining independence from British rule in 1947, our nation has undergone remarkable growth and development, earning its place among the world’s most influential countries. However, amidst these accomplishments, we cannot ignore the challenges that persist, such as unemployment, poverty, corruption, illiteracy, and inequality.
To truly elevate our nation to new heights and make it a global leader, we must collectively commit ourselves to addressing these pressing social issues. It is our shared responsibility to contribute to the betterment of our society and work towards creating a future where every citizen can thrive. Today, as we celebrate Republic Day, let us renew our dedication to building a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous India for generations to come.
